Day 1.
It's the end of day one and I am pooped. we took a tour of Tours (ha) with the institute and had interviews with professors to confirm our placement tests. I'll be in the very beginner class.
The city is really cool. There are a couple of other Universities here and for some reason, there are carousels, ferris wheels and other rides just scattered about the town. The city has a really cool older part called place des joulins, the architecture here is so cool - it looks as if it's straight out of Harry Potter or something/ Pictures when I remember to bring the camera/
I had croc monsieur for lunch and after exploring for the day we hit a bar on Rue Nationale. i had a pint of biere de noel and it came in a glass boot. . . Das Boot anyone?

In the Beginning
Well, here I am in Tool, France. Just had my first real crepe and I'm settling in. The flight over was interesting. . . the traffic was horrendous and I didn't get to the gate until shortly after the scheduled boarding time. The rush was pointless though as our original plane got taken out of service due to mechanical issues minutes before we were to depart. Needless to say, we didn't leave JFK until shortly after 8pm. . . three hours late.
Until tomorrow.
